2010 District Oratorical Finals announce Winners!

The District Oratorical contest was held on May 2010 in Belleville, Ontario.  The young speakers were all amazing. The following is a list of the contestants and the clubs who sponsored them , with the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners of the scholarships.

The winners for the 2010 contest were:

1st place- Jacqueline Janas- sponsored by Opt. Club of Stoney Creek- $2500 scholarship

2nd place- Emma Dykstra- sponsored by the Dunnville Optimist Club- $1500 scholarship

3rd place- Kate Pasco- sponsored by the Lancaster Optimist Club- $1000 scholarship

Zone 4 - Sponsor Etobicoke Opt. Club      - Anakha Palissery - 1st place winner-$1500

A great big thank to our Judges (Susan Billings,Pat Holbrook, Jennine Reid) who had a very difficult job, with so many wonderful speakers. I would also like to thank Mark Lawrence for being our timekeeper.
